Fine Arts Day!

Our first session was with Junko Wright, the art of Japanese dance, origami, and other Japanese cultures.  In our second session, Rita Clark, storyteller extraordinaire, captivated students’ attention.  Mr. Leinbach shared some juggling and unicycle talents with circus arts.  During the afternoon, we were treated to some Zumba action in the gym!  Thank you to the PTO and Mrs. Brandy Smith for making this most amazing day possible!

Wow!

We still have TWO more weeks until our annual Race for Education and our students have already raised…… drum roll please….. $17,843.50!!!!  Way to synergize Hambright!  Because they surpassed the goal of $13,000.00, EVERY student will receive a free Hambright shirt!  Woo hoo!!  Keep bringing in any extra change to donate towards PM CARES.

A slight change

(Instead of Thursday, April 19)…..

Way to be a TEAM and think Win-Win during the PSSAs.  The fourth graders still have 2 more days of testing next week.  We want to remind them that we are all part of the same team.  Wear your favorite team gear (Phillies?  Steelers?  etc.) next Tuesday, April 24!

SPIRIT DAYS!

To help encourage our test-takers, Hambright is encouraging ALL students and staff to participate in some spirit days.
Thursday (tomorrow):  We have this test taking down to a “T”- wear t-shirts

Next week:
Tuesday:  Put your best foot forward- wear slippers (or sneakers) and PJ’s
Wednesday:  It’s our final lap!!  Wear comfortable work out clothes
Thursday– Way to be a Team and think win-win during PSSA’s.  Wear your team shirt
Friday– Super Hero day (already scheduled- because we are all superheros!)

**I apologize for the late notice.  Having our prep time in the morning did not allow for me to post this, as it came about last-minute.  Whatever you can join us in, will be great!**

A few things…

Tonight the girls and boys brought home two items:  A math test (to be corrected and signed) and a Story Town book to read.

Please remember to clip and send in your Box Tops (from cereal boxes, fruit snacks, etc.).

For some Spring Kindness, Hambright is working on different manners each week.  This week we are practicing greeting others with a smile and “hello.”  Just making small conversations with others in a casual friendly way.  Let’s show kindness everywhere we go!
