Fantastic Start

What a wonderful start to fourth grade!  The students in 4-Sz have been kind to one another, worked hard, and listened well.  Next week will bring a few changes.  Spelling packets will go home Tuesday, with the test on Friday.  Science and Social Studies begins on Tuesday.  Students will also have the opportunity to check out two library books on Tuesday morning!  Thank you Mrs. Etzweiler!

Thank you for checking your students’ planners each night.  It was a pleasure to meet so many of you last night (some for the second go-around!).  I truly appreciate the support and communication from home.  Together we will ensure a successful year for your child.

Today ended on a sweet note.  The fourth graders displayed their leadership skills with ease.  Mrs. Kirchner’s kindergartners needed assistance finding the correct bus, pick-up line, or after-school program.  I could not be prouder of the positive role models these fourth graders were!  You are all to be commended!

Keep up the great work!  Enjoy the long weekend, you deserve it!  (And see you next Thursday at Rita’s.  I will be “working” the first shift from 6:00-6:30)

Need to pick up your child after school?

We have a few new safety procedures in place this year.

If you need to pick up your child before the end of the day, please be sure to send a note with the time included.  I will try my best to have him or her in the office ready for your pick-up on time.

If you are picking up your child at dismissal instead of him or her riding the bus home, you will receive a placard for your car window.  This must be displayed when picking up your child.  Not only is this a safety precaution, but it will help speed up the process for the car-riders.  Thank you for your cooperation in this helpful change at Hambright!

Let’s Eat!
