A reminder that 4-Szentesy students have a test Thursday on Native Americans.  They have had a study guide since last Thursday.

Thursday is also “sock it to Drugs” day…. so wear those CRAZY SOCKS!

On Friday, students will show they are a “genius” by wearing JEANS!  They are also encouraged to wear pink, to support our district-wide Pink-Out day!

On Friday, they will have their spelling test, as well as a Chapter 4 math test.

BINGO Night is Friday, officially beginning at 6:00.

Remember that students can bring in donations for Thanksgiving boxes.  We have a fourth grade collection box in our Commons area.

Next Tuesday is the test on William Penn. Students received a Study Guide today!

It’s hard to believe that the end of the marking period is upon us (next Wednesday!)  We wish Ronish a Happy Birthday this weekend!

Thanks for sending your awesome kids to school each day ready to learn.  I love this class!

Praise and reminders

The students worked very  hard today to finish their math and science tests.  They are to be commended!

This is a reminder that tomorrow is a Book Exchange day.  Students know how to get online to check for availability of any desired book.

Please send back the conference time sheet as soon as possible, but by this Friday.  We will plan the conference times next week and I will try my best to give a time that suits your schedule.

Thank you!

Week of October 8

I received a nice note from the substitute (and Mrs. Wigerman) for my day out yesterday.  I appreciate the boys and girls being 4th grade leaders in my absence. There are a few days this school year that I unfortunately must miss teaching.  It is reassuring to know that the students in 4Szentesy respond well to a change in teacher.  They make me proud.

Yesterday was spent with the teachers learning some tricks to incorporate technology and the laptops.  This morning the students were able to join my GoogleClassroom and complete an assignment.  Way to go 4-Szentesy!

For next week:
Monday:  NO SCHOOL!

Tuesday:  Students have a science test (green study guide will help!  All science work was to come home, STUDY THE GREEN sheet).  Math test on chapter 3.  There is a practice test which mimics the expectations on the real deal!

Wednesday:  Book exchange.  Students will begin a science unit with Mr. Showalter today.

As always, the spelling test for list 6 will be on a Friday (the 12th).

Thanks for another great week with the 4th graders.  Happy Birthday to our very own Ian!
