Monthly Archives: December 2019

Wednesday!

Hambright is having a school-wide reward on Wednesday, December 18: Pajama Day! Dress comfy in “school-appropriate” pajamas this day! What a nice comfortable way to take our last math test of the year! (….That is, the 2019 year).

Students are never REQUIRED to participate, but everyone is welcome to join in the comfy fun!

Updates/Reminders

A few reminders for the next two weeks:

Math: We will finish Chapter 7 this week. Next week (16, 17) we will review and prepare for the test to be given, hopefully next Wednesday, December 18. The students are working hard on finding rules and patterns. Remember to keep practicing those basic facts!

Spelling will continue this week with Lesson 13. Next week we will skip spelling.

Reading: Working hard on Unit 3. This week we will read Mimicry and Camouflage with the test on Friday the 13th.

Science is going well with learning Physics (focusing on magnets and electricity!).

Book orders are due this Wednesday, we need to have the order in so the books can arrive before Christmas break!

Thank you for the shampoo donations! They will be collected this Wednesday.

Thursday Miss Szentesy will be out in the afternoon. Students will do their holiday shopping then.

Friday Mrs. Breneman will be teaching again. The Jump Rope for Heart assembly will be held Friday afternoon!

Book Exchange is next Wednesday, December 18.

Friday, December 20 is an early dismissal with “Crazy Holiday Hair” theme!

Another reminder: Hambright is still collecting items for the Mitten Tree!
