Monthly Archives: December 2020

Happy Holidays!

We have had quite a month, huh? The Szentesy Squad impressed me with their hard work and perseverance through some challenging situations this first part of the school year. Thank you to the families for helping your second grader through it all, and providing some structure and support from home. We hope that you can find some joy in the craziness that is the end of 2020. When we arrive back on January 4, 2021, the Szentesy Squad will welcome back Miguel H. to Pequea. The girls and boys are excited!

Friday

Good evening!

In case you did not receive the district email, text message, or social media alerts, Penn Manor will be operating on a 2-hour delay for Friday, December 18.  The boys and girls will NOT have a math test on Friday, like originally planned.  We will review again Friday and test the Chapter 6 material on Monday.  Stay safe and I’ll see the Szentesy Squad a little later on, but IN-PERSON.  yay!

Festive Friday!

Friday, December 11th is Festive Friday! We want to see everyone in their most festive gear regardless of if you celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or Chanukah, Boxing Day, and/or Ōmisoka.

The crazier and uglier the better!

And to make it even more fun, we are going to have a little competition amongst our faculty & staff. Friday evening we will post a link for you to vote on your favorite outfit and our PTO elves are awarding a first, second, and third prize winner on Monday! Voting will be open for 24 hours so keep your eye out for that blog post on Friday evening.

We can’t wait to see your holiday cheer and festive gear!

WILD WEDNESDAY!

Well, it was “WILD” Wednesday at Pequea, meaning dress in tye-dye and neon colors. Then, around 10:30….the weather decided to join in on the fun. We had a wild weather day too. The excitement was evident in the classroom (We can’t hide the snow with these large walls of windows!). It was beautiful and peaceful, so we went outside to enjoy it even more. What joy!

Wild Wednesday. The “calm before the storm.”
The girls were hungry!

Be careful on the slippery grass!
No need for that bucket of equipment!
YESSSS!!!!!
