Twin Tuesday

Our Twin Tuesday turned into a “Topsy-turvy, schedule all twisted around” Tuesday! I was able to snap a few of our dress-alikes today before the early dismissal. Enjoy!

Wednesday is St. Patrick’s Day so we will see lots of green at Pequea!

We had some neon/bright colors for Marvelous Monday today! See the pictures below.
Tomorrow is Twin Tuesday. If you don’t know what to wear, Miss Szentesy will be in blue jeans and a red top. Feel free to be MY twin!
Also, we have book exchange tomorrow, please return your books.
Money for the Read-a-Thon is due by this Friday. Cash, checks, or Venmo! (see the link from the Pequea blog page)

The Pequea Read-a-thon is coming to an end. Thank you for spending some extra time reading each day and helping to raise funds for our school. These funds will help us with field trips (to come in the future, we can’t wait!), building incentives, the principal’s fund, and more! Thank you for encouraging reading and helping our school. It’s a Win-Win!

Mystery Reader

Reminder that tonight (and every Tuesday/Thursday night) Pequea will host a Mystery Reader for a bedtime story. Please log in with your student’s email/Chromebook to access the Google Meet.

There will not be student interaction with the Mystery Reader and it will not be recorded for later viewing. We hope you enjoy a good bedtime story!

We apologize for any confusion or difficulties our Pequea friends have had accessing our Mystery Readers. We did not realize that you have to be in our Penn Manor organization (technology system) to access our livestreams. Therefore, you will need to login through your Penn Manor student’s account to access the live stream read aloud.

Please contact Dr. Murray if you have any additional questions or need assistance.

This week:

March Madness continues for the staff at Pequea, and students are welcome to join us!

Monday – Alma Mater Day (wear high school or college attire). Welcome back Nealon!
Tuesday – Tartan Tuesday (wear plaid or flannel)
Wednesday – Workout Wednesday (wear favorite exercise gear) . Math test on money. Spelling and vocab test as well. Today is the rescheduled “Dave Hagerman’s Extreme Science Assembly” from the snow day last month.
Thursday – Thankful Thursday (Do something to express your gratitude for someone). PTO virtual meeting at 6:30
Friday – PM Pride Day (wear Penn Manor or Pequea attire). Scholastic Book Orders for March are due today.

Now that the snow has finally melted, students are enjoying more outside time. Thank you for remembering to wear layers to school as it can get chilly and then warm, then chilly again.

Water bottles are to be filled in the morning before school. Pequea has a touchless bottle-refill station to be used in an emergency. We are not looking to see a revolving-door of students in and out to refill bottles during class time.

Our poetry unit is beginning in writing time. The Szentesy Squad is excited to use a new style of writing to express themselves on paper.

Did you see the blue form about the Extra Credit project for Social Studies? A few ideas were shared in the classroom this week. Take your time and have fun with this optional project!
