House Day

We had a fantastic start to our shorter day today. Students were dressed in their House colors, showed lots of Pequea spirit, and shared during a school-wide assembly, as well as house-organized activities.

Ask your child about the Wrinkled Heart and the Pequea Promise (Stop, Think, Choose).

Day 100 fun!

Here are some pictures of the 6 activities that students completed on Tuesday! We had a great time. Thank you to the parent volunteers. This wouldn’t have been possible without your extra hands!

Read-a-Thon!

The annual Readathon is back and coming to a school near you! The high school Civitas club members will be visiting each elementary school twice to read books, lead crafts and activities, and encourage the love of reading. This program is for students in kindergarten, first, and second grade and is completely free through a Strong and Healthy Kids grant. The Readathon will be held on the following dates from 3:30-4:30pm. Sign-up online here to reserve your spot.

Gingerbread Fun!

Today was an exciting day in Second Grade (I’m sure you’ve already heard…). Thanks to our many parent volunteers, the students were able to rotate through six Gingerbread-themed stations. They enjoyed reading, writing, math, a craft, a scavenger hunt, and a “snack” station. Miss Walker and I were very impressed with the behavior and focus the second graders displayed. This shows that special activities like this may take place in the future! Thank you parents, for the donations and the offers to volunteer! Here are a few pictures from our great morning.
