Dr. Seuss! That is who is celebrating their birthday next week. Our first graders are planning to celebrate the entire week. They also invited the entire school to participate. We accepted. The fun ways we will celebrate are listed below. Have fun joining in on the fun.

Two students in our class ran over 5 miles at recess as part of the Recess Running Club! The club will start again in April.
We are reviewing all the previous weeks’ words. Therefore, we will complete all activities and practice our spelling in class. this week. There will still be and math for homework.

Due to the school cancellations and delays last week, our Book Box Project has been pushed back to this Friday!
For the 100th Day of school, students were challenged to design, build, and create their own structures, art, and inventions using a plethora of varying materials. The only caveat was that they were limited to 100 pieces of each type of material. I am consistently impressed with the students’ creativity and ingenuity in tackling obstacles and challenges. For Black History Month, students at Martic were treated to a wonderful play on the life of Martin Luther King Jr.
Tomorrow is the 100th day of school. Your student will be provided a snack, and will participate in STEM challenges centered on the number one hundred. There is no need for you student to bring in a snack or dress-up to celebrate, but if your student would still like to have their own snack to eat, they are welcome to.
