Please take this quick survey so I can easily contact you, and get to know your student even better!
One the first STEM challenges we completed this year was to build a spaghetti tower. Students had to build the tallest tower that held a marshmallow for 10 seconds.
Their building constraints were:
1) They only had 20 minutes, 2) They only had 10 strands of spaghetti 3) 3 feet of tape 4) 2 feet of string 5) Scissors and a ruler.
Here are the results!
Attention 4th grade students and parents:
Here is the link to the online registration form.
Registrations will be accepted through August 31. Lessons will begin as soon as schedules can be developed and shared with families and teachers at each school. Please contact your child’s classroom music teacher or Ms. Almoney with questions. (All 4th graders will receive the “Do you want to play an instrument?” paper which includes instructions for those who do not have internet access.)
WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE!
We are going to learn so many new and wonderful things together. Fourth grade promises to be very exciting as we will learn about ecosystems, algebra, Pennsylvania history, electricity, division of large numbers, and lots more! I hope you had a fabulous break, and I cant wait to meet everyone!
This year each fourth grade student will have their own classroom computer. It is important that each student has a pair of headphones to facilitate their laptop work. If there is a special pair of headphones or earbuds you would feel comfortable leaving at school it would be appreciated.
