August 6- Thursday Volleyball Tips

This is the most exciting part of the game of volleyball, however, it can be the most difficult because of the coordination that is involved with the timing. This week has a lot of videos to watch because attacking has many complicated stages.

Work on your approach everywhere that you go. It should be as easy as riding a bike, you don’t have to think about it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

July 30- Thursday Volleyball Tips

Everyone needs to know how to set the ball, regardless of your “position”.

Focus more on the second method to shift the weight to the forearms by keeping your fingers from turning down. This can often help younger players, or players with weak wrists, to power the ball with the forearm strength.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

July 9- Thursday Volleyball Tips

Good Morning-

It is a very different summer pre-season this year. I am going to post tips on this blog since we will have very limited time for instruction during the summer training sessions. I would appreciate that you watch them (a couple of times, if needed) to understand the methods and techniques to be successful in our volleyball program.

This week’s tip is about volleyball rules and terminology and volleyball rotation. The first link is about volleyball rules for the game, as well, as terms that we use. Regardless of your level of volleyball, it will beneficial to all players to review this first link. There is a lot of important and vital information.

Next, there is an informational video about volleyball rotations on the court. It is important to know where you and your teammates should be on the court.

If you have any questions, please be sure to reach out to me.
