This year in reading we will be studying elements of fiction and non-fiction texts. We will mainly be utilizing novels to discuss these elements but will also use Storytown as a resource.
Students will also be participating in a 40 book challenge so they will have time in class to read independently and be encouraged to read nightly as well. Increased independent reading will help them improve both reading and writing skills.
There will be GimKit study sets posted throughout each unit for students to practice skills at home. There are also great study resources posted before unit tests.
