About the PMHS 1:1 Laptop Project

The 1:1 laptop project provides full-time Penn Manor High School students with a district supplied laptop computer to use at both home and school. This project pairs low-cost, durable PC laptops and free open source software to enable students in grades 9 through 12 accessible and affordable computing resources. There are about 1700 students that received a laptop as of February 2014.

Additionally, timely and resourceful student tech support is a key part of the 1:1 laptop project. As a result, a tech support helpdesk team consisting of PMHS student tech apprentices is available to students as they may need assistance with common tech issues or problems.
