I hope you and your families have been having a good week! Keep reading to find out what we have been working on to stretch our brains and make them stronger!
Curriculum News:
Reading: This week we began Unit #4. We were engaged in a few different activities where we were determining the theme of a story from the details in the text. We were also involved with identifying a character’s qualities, actions, and motives and how they affected the theme.
Spelling: From now through the end of the school year, we will not have weekly spelling lists, homework packets, or tests on Fridays.
Math: We wrapped up Chapter 8, Fractions and Decimals, this week and will be taking our Chapter 8 test tomorrow. Your child should have brought home a study guide to work through, again, to be prepared for tomorrow’s test.
Reminders:
Tomorrow, January 26th, is a 1:30 dismissal for the students.
