Hello, Everyone!
I hope that you and your family had an enjoyable weekend! Here are a few activities that we will be working on throughout the week that will stretch and strengthen our brains!
Curriculum News:
Reading with Mrs. Eby: We are staying in a growth mindset as we continue to read, analyze, and discuss a non-fiction passage. We are identifying the different types of non-fiction text features along the way. Once we’ve finished the text, we’ll work through its comprehension and vocabulary activities. Fifth graders, I know you will continue to put forth 150% effort! Way to go!
Spelling: Your child received her/his spelling homework packet today. He/she is aware that the packet is due on Thursday and that our test is on Friday.
Math with Miss Miller: We have been putting our best effort forward in our ninth unit: adding and subtracting fractions! This week, we will focus on adding and subtracting mixed numbers. We will wrap up unit 9 next week. Your child will take their unit 9 test on Thursday, February 17th! Keep up the great work fifth graders!
Reminders:
Friday, Feb. 18th is a 1:30 dismissal.
Monday, Feb. 21st, school is not in session.
Thank you for your support, and have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Eby 🙂
