National Day of Service, Monday Jan 18th

Monday is MLK National Day of Service. Dr. Martin King, Jr. once said “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve.” Dr. King further challenged our nation to service of our fellow man by asking, “What are you doing for others?”. The universal messages of justice, democracy, hope, love, and selflessness that he preached continue to inspire and move people today. As his legacy lives on, we encourage you to answer Dr. King’s call to service by participating in the “2016 MLK Day of Service.”

Consider spending Monday volunteering. Check out the United Way of Lancaster’s website for volunteer opportunities for MLK National Day of Service. http://uwlanc.galaxydigital.com/aem/general/event/?doc_id=2313

If you volunteer on Monday, it can count towards your volunteer hours for the graduation project. Don’t forget to take the Community Service Verification form with you to get signed for the graduation project.
