October’s Monthly Mathletes!

It’s that time again! We awarding the next Monthly Mathletes! This award is given to one career prep student, one college prep student, and one honors student every month. These students are nominated and chosen by the Math Department on the basis of their hard work and leadership in the math classroom. They will have their pictures posted in the Math Wing for the month and will each receive a coupon for a free MTO at Sheetz.

Wah Wah

Wah Wah is receiving the award for his diligence in completing assignments promptly and correctly.  He has also grown substantially in regards to his vocabulary mastery. Despite learning English as a second language, Wah scored well on both his assessments which required a large amount of reading and writing. He also requests to come to homeroom for help on some assignments which shows a level of maturity and dedication. He has shown a remarkable amount of growth since arriving at Penn Manor, and his teachers look forward to seeing him meet each new obstacle with success, stemming from a solid work ethic.

Jordan Martzall

Jordan Martzal has been a hardworking and dedicated student since the beginning of the marking period.  He has shown time and again that he has the intelligence and personality to excel in AP Calculus BC.  While a lot of the material thus far has been review, his work is never lazy, and always well done.  His teachers are very impressed with his math abilities and his character, and see great things for him this school year and beyond.

Nicole Alexokos

Nicole Alexakos has been an excellent student in the class, earning one of the highest grades in her CP Algebra 1 class. She shows willingness to volunteer her answers and share her responses with the rest of the class. She works hard during individual and group work and always includes everyone in her group. She always completes your homework and ALEKS assignments, which are a major factor as to why she is doing so well. She always asks questions and is working hard to improve each day.

Congratulations to this month’s winners! Keep up the hard work!
