This award is given to one career prep student, one college prep student, and one honors student every month. These students are nominated and chosen by the Math Department on the basis of their hard work and leadership in the math classroom. They will have their pictures posted in the Math Wing for the month and will each receive a coupon for a free MTO at Sheetz.
Emilee Ney is receiving this award because of her work ethic, curiosity and desire to learn that have brought her to where she is today. It has been her teacher’s pleasure to watch her grow as a student since the beginning of the school year. She has made great accomplishments in math as she has grown from taking college preparatory courses to Advanced Placement Calculus AB. It is evident that she is a student who strives for success, and her teacher looks forward to continuing to work with her this school year as she continues to grow and strengthen her skills in AP Calculus.
Kirializ Guzman is receiving this award as a result of her hard work, her attention to detail, and her commitment to learning. Piece-wise functions, Symmetry, Transformations and Rational Functions are just a few of the Precalculus topics that she has completely mastered this semester! Her work is always neat, precise, and 97% of the time correct. Even when she misses a class, she is always caught up before the end of the next block. Her teacher truly appreciates her effort and wishes her the best of luck as she graduates from Penn Manor this year.
Rylee Leakway is receiving this award because she is a great student who is willing to work hard on her own and with others. Her teachers can always count on her to volunteer an answer or come to the board to show and explain her work. She is constantly wanting to make sure she is doing the problems correct and asking for help. Her teachers don’t have to worry about her working with a small group because she gets along so well with everyone. She always completes her homework and ALEKS assignments which reflects why her grades have been so good. Keep up the hard work, Rylee!
