Elizabethtown College’s nationally recognized School of Engineering and Computer Science, in collaboration with the Lancaster County STEM Alliance and Cargas, will host the Momentum Summer Coding Academy, a six-week summer program aiming to ignite high school students’ interest in STEM, particularly computer programming.

The program encourages exploration of diverse educational paths, acknowledging alternatives beyond the traditional four-year college route. Students will be exposed to various computing skills including: programming language (Javascript), database creation and maintenance, game development, web development, and cybersecurity.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with current college students, fostering mentorship and representation, and gain crucial professional skills including resume development, networking etiquette, and guidance on post-secondary processes, ensuring students are well-equipped for future education and career opportunities.
Transportation to and from the academy must be provided.
